Davor Vukovic is an artist that finds his inspiration in the amazing beauty and richness of nature. His art reveals harmonic influences of late impressionist artists, Fauvism, and painters such as Cezanne, Vlaminck or Soutine. But giving a definition of art through these great influences would be much too simple.
Davor Vukovic's art avoids all the limits of dry definition to be a celebration of all the changing aspects of nature. Rocks, landscapes, trees, are as many bucolic splendours, that we can reach and caress. Our fingers can almost touch the tall grass, the orchards and leaves of his painting.
His works on sea are particular and show his profound technique. His paintings shine like bright mosaic, playing with each variety of colors, shades and delicate camaieus.Davor Vukovic invites us to discover these solitary places that he represents as seen from a kaleidoscope, places where we can find back our authenticity.
