We have become such a disposable society it urges me to create new functional furniture from old sources. Information :   I'm completely self taught in all areas of my work. In 1996 I started working at an antique flea market on the Massachusetts coast. During the 14 years there I accumulated large amounts of old hardware, painted wide pine boards and other interesting objects. I never had any firm idea of what I wanted to do so I began building simple boxes and furniture incorporating the pieces I'd been acquiring. Selling there was pretty sobering but it got me to put my work out there even if it wasn't what the people wanted. I've been at it for 10 years and it's as exciting now as when I started.
