Lisa and her family lived in China for many years before looking to new horizons in Canada. Montreal became the family base where she completed her school years. After college in Lausanne, Switzerland Lisa went to live in London. The next fifteen years were spent travelling throughout Europe employed as a representative for Thomas Cook. As a result of extensive travel, Lisa learned to speak Italian, French and Spanish..
Later in Los Angeles she started a business designing her own gift items. These became a popular line and were sold to large department and gift stores. Looking for a change, Lisa moved to Miami where she fell in love with the tropics and has been living there for the last twenty years. Creating her own style of painting, she puts abundant colors of the tropics in her art. Her goal is to preserve nature and promote passing its beauty on to future generations. Lisa is an award winning artist who has exhibited extensively in South Florida. During a trip to Australia to meet her family as her father was born in Melbourne, she realized the 'Boyd's' are well known Australian artists. After seeing exhibits of her great uncle, Arthur Boyd's works in both Sydney and Melbourne, Lisa felt inspirted to expand her art. |
