The one thing that has been a constant has been art, in every form. With dance lessons starting at the age of three, a mother who is a self taught artist and her mother’s god parents, Ted and Kitty Gensamer who were both artists and printers in NYC, creativity was inescapable. A bit of an extremist, over the years my work has traveled from folk art to the abstract. As a folk artist my one of a kind hand painted wood pieces have been displayed at the Walt Whitman Birthplace Museum in NY, the Hotel Dupont in Delaware as well as at the Whitehouse in 2000 as part of the ‘Save America’s Treasure’ program. After a brief excursion into the world of finance I have returned to my studio with a new philosophy on art and life in general…Live life and create beauty with no regrets. Inspiration for my work today comes from every angle of life. From family and friends, nature to human emotions, the real to the surreal, it’s all there.
