I see a ot of vulnerability in the men I paint. and the idea that masculinity can coexist with the vulnerability is borderline heretical in much of American Culture I like seeing male vulnerability portrayed positively in art that celebrates the beauty and sexuality of men because that feels like , in part it celebrates the beauty and sexuality in me. |

I have been a decorative painter for 20 years , painting murals of panoramic vistas or decorative finishes for others and what there vision might be for there space. Being self taught painter, my work in the beginning was awkward at best, and painting on a large scale for murals I was able to concentrate on an over all look while detail became secondary. It was not until this past year that I was able to paint on canvas and for my self again. I love the detail , and the time I can spend on each piece , creating for myself, and conveying a message.
Each painting is inspired by the one before it . I see something I would like to do more of , a particular angle or a new technique that I have found. My mural painting background had me use regular house paint, and I still use it with my canvas painting .
While I am working on each painting I cant help but express a gratitude, serenity and a reliance I have with something you can’t see and growth that comes along with it. My favorite painting is the one that I am working on at this particular time, I know it is going well if I can not take my self away from it. I look forward to seeing what will happen next on my journey of examination while I open my self to what the universe has.
Thank you!
